When Essential Health & Wellness teamed up with Textivia, their site was anything but healthy. The site’s look and messaging were outdated (from 2006), resulting in a poor user experience. They were also doing some heavy unnecessary spending with Google AdWords, paying for 60% of their traffic. They were in need of an all around redo. An updated site and Textivia’s SEO marketing efforts now have them leading their industry.

Essential Health & Wellness is a boutique health care provider in Cary, North Carolina, specializing in creating personalized plans for longevity and bringing together holistic health practices with cutting-edge science and technology. As a health care provider, Essential Health definitely needed to be able to build a genuine relationship with its site visitors as well as display professionalism and authority in the field. Their old site wasn’t hitting the mark by a long shot.

The Approach

In the fall of 2014, Textivia designed a new custom site, and our writers began work on creating a keyword strategy that would develop into SEO-friendly content. We wanted Essential Health to be able to rank higher, bringing in more traffic organically rather than having to pay for the bulk of it, so this keyworded content was essential. They really wanted to promote their hormone replacement therapy service, so we heavily targeted those keywords specifically in their local area. We also needed to bring their messaging up to date to reflect the strides Essential Health had made in its industry.

The Result

The site launched in December of 2014, and in under a year, we were able to:

  • Reverse how much money they were spending in Google AdWords, bringing their paid traffic down to 40% and increasing organic traffic to 60% through skillful content generation and SEO
  • Promote their hormone replacement therapy service until the became number one for that keyword phrase in all local cities (they’re still number one)
  • Set up Google Analytics, conversion tracking, and call tracking so they could understand where their traffic sources were coming from, enabling them to put more focus on what works and figure out what didn’t

In 2016, Textivia began a social media campaign for Essential Health, gaining the office’s Facebook page nearly 100 new likes in the first two months. We continue to manage their social media presence, helping to grow their online community, gain new reviews, reach a whole new demographic, and bring in more qualified leads. Essential Health & Wellness’s current online presence now reflects the relationship they want to have with their patients, and we’re happy Textivia’s SEO margetic strategy was able to achieve it largely organically.
